God gives life

November 8, 2010 § Leave a comment

When the going gets tough, we depend on God to intervene and surprise us with new life in the midst of apparent disaster and death.  The Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it, says John 5:21.  The life we receive from the Son is rooted in the Father’s ability to raise the dead (5:21).  If it is a core message of the gospel that we have crossed over from death to life (5:24) due to the Father’s salvation through his Son, then it is not only in terms of eternal life sometime after death, but already true in the midst of our everyday life situations when we struggle to survive within our own means.  May you discover the signs of life given to you by God today!
