Come and See what God has done

October 15, 2010 § Leave a comment

Psalm 66 rejoices in Gods awesome deeds in the history of God’s people.  It echoes the joyful noise of God’s people when they invite the entire creation to come and see what God has done (66:5).  We started a congregation-wide conversation in our church to discern what God is up to in the broader community and how we can participate in God’s movement.  That requires a willingness and ability to name God’s awesome deeds in the world.  We started this process by paying close attention to ways in which God was present and active in our own history as a congregation.  Through their memory of what God has done in the past, leaders of the congregation began to create a story wall of God’s awesome deeds, and now invite the rest of the congregation to add to the story wall.  Watch this blog for future moments of gladly listening in on God’s awesome deeds as it emerge on this story wall.
